Vektek's Workholding Pump Streamlines Clamping Procedures
Eastec 2023: The Advanced Automation Workholding Pump can be run through a continuously connected rotary union or decoupled pallets.
Vektek LLC showcases its Advanced Automation Workholding Pump and integrated human-machine interface (HMI) in booth 5632 at Eastec 2023.
The HMI, which enables users to store programs on Vektek’s Pump Controller, displays the status of the on-demand pump, valve functions, pressure switch status and any possible faults. The unit also comes with spare input/output, enabling additional sensors to be plugged in, which adds options for monitoring other critical fixture statuses such as pneumatic part presence sensing.
Users can create a specific clamping program through Vektek’s step-by-step process for both the clamping and unclamping procedures, enabling them to reduce M codes. Vektek’s Pump Controller is said to provide the ability to take one signal from the machine and perform more sophisticated clamping programs, which reduces the need for additional signals for each clamp function.
The Advanced Automation Workholding Pump can be run through a continuously connected rotary union or decoupled pallets, giving users flexibility to set up machining applications as needed.
